Matchmaking FAQ: Cost and Getting Started

How much does matchmaking cost?

Full-service matchmaking starts at $25,000. Pricing depends on the length of the search, how specific your criteria are, and how much recruiting we do outside our existing network.

If that number is not where you are right now, there are two other ways in. The Elevated Circle is our membership. The Rolodex is free.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Not to the general public. We start with an application instead. It tells us what you are looking for before we spend an hour finding out, and it means the people we do talk to are people we can actually help.

Do you work with clients outside of Ohio?

Yes. We are headquartered in Ohio and work with clients across the country. Coaching happens virtually. Dates happen where you live, and we recruit in your market.

Who do you work with?

Established professionals who are serious about a long-term relationship and are done outsourcing that decision to an algorithm. Most of our clients are in their 40s through their 60s, though we do not screen on age alone.

What we do screen on: whether you are actually available, actually ready, and willing to take feedback.

Do I have to pay to be considered as a match for someone?

No. Our singles network is free to join. Add yourself to the Rolodex and you become visible to our matchmakers when we search for a client. Free members are not clients, so there is no search running on your behalf, but there is also no cost.

Matchmaking FAQ: The Process

What is the 3-Date Model?

It is our framework for evaluating a match over three dates instead of one. Date one measures attraction and energy. Date two tests compatibility and substance. Date three looks at patterns and potential.

We coach both people between the date sets, not just before date one, and we debrief after every date so the criteria can pivot while the search is still live. Full breakdown here.

Do you plan the dates?

Yes. We arrange all three dates, including the venue and the timing. You show up. As long as both people want to continue, we keep building the next one.

What happens after the first date?

A feedback session. Both people talk to us, separately. We tell each of you what we heard and what we would adjust, then we coach into date two. That is the part most agencies skip, and it is the reason most introductions die after one drink.

What if I do not like my match?

You tell us. That is data, not a failure. Every debrief sharpens the criteria for the next introduction, which is why the third match tends to be better calibrated than the first.

What we will not do is nod along. If the reason a match did not work traces back to something you are doing, you will hear that too.

How long does the matchmaking process take?

Think in months, not weeks. Curated recruiting takes longer than swiping, and the schedules of the people worth meeting are the reason. Your timeline gets set during onboarding based on your search criteria.

Do you guarantee I will find a spouse?

No, and be skeptical of anyone who does. What we commit to is the work: curated introductions, coaching after every date, and honest feedback until the search is done.

Matchmaking FAQ: Matches, Privacy and Membership

How do you find matches for me?

We start inside our vetted singles network, then we go outside it. Clients pay us to recruit, which means we actively source people who fit your criteria whether or not they were already in our database. Every introduction is hand-selected. None of it is automated.

Is my information confidential?

Yes. Your profile is never public and never posted. Details are shared with a potential match only after we have decided the two of you should meet, and only what is necessary.

What is The Elevated Circle, and how is it different from matchmaking?

Matchmaking means we run a search for you. The Elevated Circle is a membership: coaching, resources, and access, without a dedicated search. Different price, different level of involvement, same methodology underneath. See the membership.

Who is Amanda Hood?

Founder and CEO of The Crush Confidential, professional matchmaker, and certified dating coach. She works directly with every VIP client, and The Crush Confidential is an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau. Meet the team.

What makes you different from other matchmaking companies?

Most matchmakers sell an introduction. We sell the three dates after it. Coaching between date sets, feedback after every date, and a matchmaker advocating for both people instead of collecting a fee and walking away.
